Google has a 65% share of US internet searches. Google has historically made is money through advertising keyword searches but also bundles services that it believes will give the firm an advantage by measuring consumption. As google continues to grow, they will find it increasingly difficult to stave off the label of monopoly.","replyPages":[{"page":0,"digests":[],"more":0}]},{"id":"46970434","dateCreated":"1322238290","smartDate":"Nov 25, 2011","userCreated":{"username":"maysen1975","url":"https:\/\/www.wikispaces.com\/user\/view\/maysen1975","imageUrl":"https:\/\/www.wikispaces.com\/user\/pic\/1317587185\/maysen1975-lg.jpg"},"monitored":false,"locked":false,"links":{"self":"https:\/\/mbaeconfall2011.wikispaces.com\/share\/view\/46970434"},"dateDigested":1532762637,"startDate":null,"sharedType":"discussion","title":"Google","description":"Your article links in with another post by a class member regarding the Anti-trust investigation on restrictions for the Android phone. The once most popular brand of instant cameras is now just a name to be slapped on any low quality product (TVs, digital cameras, picture frames, etc.). Given the competition they face from the heavy hitters in the market space (Nikon, Sony, Cannon, Samsung), they will have to come out with the iPad of digital cameras in order to survive. By "iPad of digital cameras" I mean something revolutionary to the world of photography with a strong marketing campaign.","replyPages":[{"page":0,"digests":[],"more":0}]},{"id":"43509312","dateCreated":"1317575561","smartDate":"Oct 2, 2011","userCreated":{"username":"TChristofaro","url":"https:\/\/www.wikispaces.com\/user\/view\/TChristofaro","imageUrl":"https:\/\/ssl.wikicdn.com\/i\/user_none_lg.jpg"},"monitored":false,"locked":false,"links":{"self":"https:\/\/mbaeconfall2011.wikispaces.com\/share\/view\/43509312"},"dateDigested":1532762637,"startDate":null,"sharedType":"discussion","title":"Kodak Case","description":"Digital technology is changing the marketplace. It's going to be difficult for Kodak and other companies in the industry to maintain a foothold. I think we'll start to see less competition as companies get out of the industry. By way of example, the same thing is happening in the book industry with e-books (Kindle, Nook, etc.). Large book retailers are changing the marketing strategies & just earlier this year Borders filed bankruptcy & has since closed up all stores.","replyPages":[{"page":0,"digests":[],"more":0}]},{"id":"43464540","dateCreated":"1317426912","smartDate":"Sep 30, 2011","userCreated":{"username":"maysen1975","url":"https:\/\/www.wikispaces.com\/user\/view\/maysen1975","imageUrl":"https:\/\/www.wikispaces.com\/user\/pic\/1317587185\/maysen1975-lg.jpg"},"monitored":false,"locked":false,"links":{"self":"https:\/\/mbaeconfall2011.wikispaces.com\/share\/view\/43464540"},"dateDigested":1532762637,"startDate":null,"sharedType":"discussion","title":"Kodak Case","description":"I had not really given Kodak much thought recently. I own a digital camera, but can't remember the last time I printed off a photo. With the current trend away from even digital cameras to the camera on our cell phones Kodak is going to have to make some big changes if they want to survive let alone thrive.
